Where Hockey Moms Become Community Champions
The same passion that fills the stands on game day can volunteer, fill food banks, fund scholarships, organize grant cycles and transform communities.
How It All Started
Alexandria King knows what it means to show up. As a mother of three — two of whom lace up skates and hit the ice — she spent years holding leadership roles at local nonprofits, giving back to her community thru preschools, school district PTOs and food bank executive roles. As a hockey mom, organizing many team meals, parties and tournaments, she saw the energy and drive on the ice watching her children and their team mates — as well as OFF the ice, exuding from the mothers cheering from the stands alongside her and making youth hockey happen in the early mornings, late evenings and even sometimes when the money wasn't always there.
Alexandria saw something bigger waiting to happen. Hockey moms are organized, passionate, deeply connected to their communities and fiercely committed to the next generation. What if that energy could be channeled into something lasting?
In 2026, she founded Pucks with Poise Club — a philanthropic organization that gives hockey mothers across Pennsylvania (and soon, the nation) a platform to connect, volunteer, serve, and give back in a meaningful, structured way.
